So, for a quotation, please just get in touch, remembering to tell me how long your piece is, either in words or estimated final duration! No two jobs are exactly the same and pricing it all depends on how complicated your job is, how long it's going to take me and if there are any special requirements. All I can say is that, as I understand it from my past and present clients, my rates are very competitive and I'm always happy to come to an arrangement for repeat bookings, very quick jobs, 'do-as-and-when-you-have-time' pieces, etc. Essentially, you'll have a budget for your project and I'll have a basic rate for the job. Through discussion and negotiation, hopefully we'll be able to make sure those two figures are mutually compatible! Just so you know, the price I give you will cover technical set-up, recording (including down-the-line direction if required), editing and online delivery costs, any reasonable number of re-takes of the original script and, of course, World Rights. Should there be any additional costs (for example proof-reading/editing the script, very specific, complicated language, etc) I will discuss and agree these with you in advance. Most jobs I do are 'buy-outs' - ie you can use the recording as often as you want, free-of-charge. Where there is a usage charge, that will be discussed in advance and, again, I'm quite flexible! Of course sometimes you'll need to update your script for unforeseen reasons, after I've recorded the original. I quite understand that it can happen and I will try to accommodate the revision within the original budget. Only if it looks like being a major re-record will I have to talk to you about a small, additional charge. So, as I said, for a quotation, please just get in touch, remembering to tell me how long your piece is, either in words or estimated final duration! |
